====== MSC - MIDI Show Control ====== From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI_Show_Control: > MIDI Show Control, or MSC, is a real-time System Exclusive extension of the international > Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) standard. MSC enables all types of entertainment > equipment to communicate with each other through the process of show control. While external:mmc is meant to control a particular machine - play, stop, pause, rewind etc. - MSC is more oriented towards the show. MSC transmits commands particular to a show: you can call specific cues of specific cuelists. MIDI Show Control is supported by a number of software, e.g. by QLab: you can send MSC messages from QLab into Titan, in order to control the show. As for the implementation have a look at the manual. You need to set the device ID in the Timecode tab of the User Settings. Then you can call these commands: |GO |Fire the specified playback or cue| |STOP |Pause the specified playback or cue| |RESUME |Un-pause the specified playback or cue| |LOAD |Set the playback level to full| |ALL OFF |Release all playbacks| |RESET |Same as ALL OFF| |GO OFF |Same as resume| Here is an example of controlling Titan from QLab via MIDI Show Control:
